Who this policy covers

This Privacy Policy applies to all users of MyStartupValley ("the Platform"): Investors, Founders, and Enablers, and describes how Nadisha Ventures Private Limited ("MSV", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal and business information.

Information we collect

Information you provide directly

• Identity information: full name, email, fund or organization name, role
• Business information: fund thesis (sector, stage, cheque size, geography), startup financial and traction data, cap table details, legal and compliance documents, pitch decks, founder background information
• Payment information: processed via Razorpay; MSV does not directly store your full payment card or banking details
• Communications: notes, deal comments, and messages you submit within the Platform

Information collected automatically

• Login activity: timestamp, IP address, and user agent are logged for every login
• Platform usage activity: deal views, intro requests, pipeline actions, and similar in-product events, used to operate core features such as matching, analytics, and notifications

Information we do not collect

We do not collect data through this Platform for purposes unrelated to operating the introduction, matching, and deal-tracking features described in our Terms and Conditions.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Operate the thesis-matching engine and surface relevant deals to investors
• Verify founder and deal information as part of MSV's due diligence process
• Facilitate introductions between matched parties
• Process payments and manage subscriptions via Razorpay
• Send transactional and compliance notifications (payment confirmations, subscription reminders, SFA-related notices)
• Maintain security, including login monitoring and audit trails for administrative actions
• Improve the Platform's matching accuracy and product functionality

Anonymization and confidentiality rules

The Platform is built around specific, deliberate anonymization rules that govern what different user types can see about each other. These are not adjustable settings, they are fixed product behavior:

Investor pass feedback. When an investor passes on a deal, their identity is stored internally by MSV but is never shown to the founder. Only an anonymized version of the feedback (for example, "stage too early, revisit at ₹1Cr ARR") is shared with the founder.

Founder-facing investor activity. Founders can see that investors are viewing or engaging with their deal, shown only as anonymized categories (for example, fund type, thesis focus, or general geography), never by investor name or identity.

Co-Invest Signals. When a Co-Invest Signal is generated, the lead investor's identity is never exposed through any client-facing part of the Platform. It is disclosed only after the underlying deal closes, and only following internal MSV admin confirmation.

Internal access. MSV's internal team can access full, non-anonymized identity information where necessary to operate the Platform, including for due diligence, dispute resolution, and Platform administration. Access by MSV's internal team is itself logged and access-controlled.

Third-party sharing

Payment processing. We share necessary billing information with Razorpay to process subscription payments, call handling charges, and related transactions. Razorpay's own privacy practices govern their handling of this data.

We do not sell your personal or business data to third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

Deal sharing. If you use the Platform's deal-sharing feature to send a deal to someone outside the Platform, MSV shares only the limited, pre-defined teaser information (startup name, sector, stage, one-line pitch, ARR, raise amount, founder city, and one key strength) with the recipient, until they sign up and are approved.

Legal disclosure. We may disclose information where required by law, regulation, or a valid legal request from a competent authority.

Data retention and deletion

Active accounts. Your data is retained for as long as your account remains active.

Subscription expiry. If your subscription lapses, your account is locked but your data is fully preserved. Nothing is deleted due to non-payment. Access is restored immediately upon renewal.

Passed and expired deals. Deal records, including passed and expired deals, are never automatically deleted. They are retained as part of the Platform's historical pipeline record.

Account suspension. If your account is flagged or suspended, your data remains fully preserved during MSV's internal review period.

Hard deletion. Permanent, irreversible deletion of your data occurs only pursuant to a verified legal request or applicable data protection law, and requires internal double-confirmation before being carried out. This is distinct from account suspension or subscription lapse, which never result in automatic deletion.

Security measures

• Authentication is enforced via JWT (JSON Web Token) with role-based access control enforced server-side
• Accounts are locked after five consecutive failed login attempts
• Every login is logged with timestamp, IP address, and user agent
• Internal administrative actions are recorded in an audit trail that cannot be edited or deleted
• MSV's internal administrative platform operates on a separate, isolated system from the main customer-facing Platform, with independent sessions and stricter access controls

While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no system can guarantee absolute security, and we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted to the Platform.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information MSV holds about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your data, subject to the hard-deletion terms above and any legal or contractual retention obligations (for example, records required for SFA compliance or financial record-keeping)
• Withdraw consent for non-essential data processing, where applicable

Changes to this policy
